Bio

Uri Shachar is a doctoral candidate in the Department of History at The University of Chicago, where he is completing a dissertation on figurations of religious knighthoods among Jewish, Christian, and Muslim authors in the thirteenth century. At the Center, Shachar researches the theme of pious belligerence in the crusading Near East.
