Bio

Charlotte Kiechel is the Klatt Family Director of Public Programs at the Katz Center. In that role, she oversees and manages the Center’s public programming initiatives. Prior to joining the staff in 2025, Kiechel held positions at Penn’s Wolf Humanities Center, Williams College, and Wesleyan University. A historian of modern European history and decolonization, Kiechel publishes on Jewish internationalism, Holocaust memory, and Holocaust and genocide studies. She earned her Ph.D. and M.Phil. degrees in history from Yale and her B.A. from Williams College.
