Spring 2015 Public Programs

Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies

Modern Jewish scholarship has never been content to remain inside the ivory tower. In fact, Jewish studies has always been animated by the pressing concerns of the wider community—from combating anti-Semitism to promoting cultural advancement—just as scholarly work itself is deeply connected with the forms of learning so valued in Jewish tradition. The Katz Center is pleased to present a series of public programs celebrating the many ways that academic work has informed, transformed, and reflected the lives of Jewish people, from the nineteenth century to the present.

Join us for these lectures, discussions, and symposia featuring an extraordinary array of international scholars, writers, and institutional leaders. All events are open to the public and hosted by local partner institutions. Click on the titles below for more information.
