Sarah Pearce is Assistant Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at New York University. She studies the varieties of translation strategies from Arabic into Hebrew during the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, especially by Maimonides’ translators. This year, Pearce studies translation practices from Arabic and Hebrew into Latin by various figures at the court of Alfonso VIII of Castile.
