Joanna Weinberg is Reader in Hebrew and Jewish Studies at the University of Oxford. She is the co-author of “I Have Always Loved the Holy Tongue: Isaac Casaubon, the Jews, and a Forgotten Chapter in Renaissance Scholarship" (2011), and the author of Azariah de’ Rossi’s Observations on the Syriac New Testament, A Critique of the Vulgate by a Sixteenth Century Jew (2005). Joanna’s work at the center will focus on a close examination of the scholarship of Johannes Buxtorf.
