Adam Teller is Associate Professor of Jewish Studies in the department of history at Brown University. He was co-editor of Borders and Boundaries in the History of the Jews in Old Poland (2010), and the author of Money, Power, and Influence: The Jews on the Radziwill Estatesin 18th Century Lithuania (2005). Adam’s work at the center will examine how the Polish Jewish refugees displaced by the mid- seventeenth century wars in Eastern Europe and the Ukraine affected trans-local and trans-regional systems that connected world Jewry in those years.
